On June 24th, we had the pleasure to welcome : Guillaume Dupriez ( Arts et Metiers,Centrale Supelec) : Aerospace/Defense Industry Leader Mathieu Bonnet (HEC Paris) : Director Cylad for a great presentation :Canada’s aerospace industry is at a pivotal moment. As global demand rises, supply chains remain fragile, and industrial sovereignty returns to the policy agenda, this session explored how Canada can reinforce its position as a world‑class aerospace leader. Drawing on industry data, real‑world examples, and policy insight, the presentation examined the current state of Canadian aerospace, key supply‑chain vulnerabilities, and the strategic levers available to regain control of the value chain. Topics included digital and AI‑enabled monitoring, vertical integration through acquisitions, and the role—and limits—of Buy Canada and ITB policies. A practical, forward‑looking discussion for industry leaders, suppliers, and policymakers shaping Canada’s aerospace future. Thank you Guillaume and Mathieu !
